\n<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n		Mezannine: Room 1<\/span><\/td>\nProduction-Time Problem Solving<\/span><\/td>\nThis tutorial looks at some common problems and pitfalls in Java applications. It focuses on noninvasive profiling and diagnostics of running production systems. Problems tackled:<\/span><\/p>\n
  • Excessive GC<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Finding hotspots and optimizing them<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Optimizing the choice of data structures<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Synchronization problems<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Finding out where exceptions are thrown<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Finding memory leaks<\/span><\/li>\n

    The presentation demonstrates all problems and solves them, running both the bad-behaving applications and the tools to analyze them from within the Eclipse Java IDE with the upcoming Oracle JRockit Mission Control Release 4.1.<\/span><\/td>\n

This presentation discusses what to expect from the converged JVM over the next two years and how this will benefit the Java community.
